This is a true culinary adventure that will have you feeling nourished from the inside out with wonderful memories of life’s simple pleasures – fresh air, breathtaking nature, and delicious farm-to-table food.

We will link together the diverse trail systems starting The Harbour to Farm Tour in the heart of Victoria, traversing inland on Vancouver Island’s extensive rail to trail system {including the galloping goose, the Colquitz River Trail, the Panama Flats Trail, & the Lochside Trail}, then looping back to the city’s picturesque Inner Harbour.  The scenery we witness on this ride is the essence of what creates the Island life and we will tap right into the heart of it!

Leaving the city, we begin over the historic Trestle Bridge, trading in the city bike lanes for the dedicated bike paths of the Trans-Canada Trail System {a 25,000km bike and pedestrian trail linking all of Canada}.  Together, we bike alongside water routes that welcome home salmon to spawn, pass by protected wetlands that are home to native birds, and take in views of the Olympic Mountains. Before you know it, we will arrive at Charlotte & the Quail located at The Gardens at HCP, wondering if you have transported to another world.  It is here we will have a thoughtfully created seasonal meal designed just for us and pause to truly take in the magical botanical garden views.

With a happy belly, we will hop back on our bikes venturing onto the locally renowned Lochside Trail featuring tree lined paths, country lanes, views of Mount Douglas, and Blenkinsop Valley farmland.

The nature scene will start to fade into the close background as we find ourselves once again in an urban setting riding past the landmark BC Parliament Buildings to our final destination, Nourish Kitchen & Cafe. It is here we will be treated to a refreshing beverage and light snack.

After this experience, you are certain to feel connected to this place, its bounty, its people, and way of life. You’ll be very tempted to want to keep it a secret … but of course, you will have to share why this is such a special place.

- This trail is rated moderate because it requires previous experience on a bike on different types of terrain. Although most of the path is paved, there are some gravel portions and inclines that those completely new to cycling will find difficult. If this tour interests, you but it sounds a little bit too hard, the Discovery Tour is the perfect alternative. Click here for that.
